Comments: The first release of another ill fated Battle of Yavin pilot. Brannon uses parts from two other pilots, namely the Legacy X-Wing pack in Wedge Antilles and comic pack Nrin Vakil. Brannon came with a DL type hand blaster.

Name: Jeck Porkins

Comments: The first release of Jeck Porkins, he featured a removable helmet and statistics cards but came with no side arm, one of the few all new figure in the pilot line up.

Name: Y-wing Pilot
Origin: Power of the Force Y-Wing Vehicle

Comments: Released only as a pack in figure with the exclusive Target Y-Wing Fighter, this figure is not representative of any one pilot from A New Hope. He uses the same body as Power of the Force Biggs Darklighter and the Wedge Antilles cinema scene figure, the head was also used for the Garven Dries Blue Saga Red Leader X-Wing pack in figure. No accessory was supplied with this figure.

Name: Derek “Hobbie” Klivian
Origin: 30th Anniversary Collection comic pack X-Wing Rogue Squadron
Date: 2007
Comments: Hobbi defected to the rebellion with Biggs Darklighter and began a long career in Rogue Squadron, but not after picking up a few injuries along the way. The figure again uses the body of Dutch Vander but with a new head, repainted helmet and Rebel blaster.

Name: Jorg Sacal
Origins: Comic Con Exclusive Figure
Date: 2002
Comments: One of the most sought after pilot figures to be released in the modern collection, George Lucas lends his likeness to this force sensitive pilot with a reputation for storytelling. A removable helmet, blaster and small model X-Wing with stand came supplied. There is also a lighter beard variation on this figure.

Name: Garven Dreis
Origin: Blue Saga, Red Leaders X-Wing (Death Star Trench)

Comments: Another kit bashed figure, the body is from the Power of the Jedi Luke x-wing and the head is a repaint of the nameless pilot released with the Power of the Force 2 Y - Wing vehicle. This first release of Garven came as a pack in with his large scale Red Leader X-Wing fighter. The figure came with no weapon accessory.

Name: Biggs Darklighter Rebel Pilot

Comments: Once again this figure utilized the body of Dutch Vander with a new head, a repainted helmet, silver collectors coin and a Rebel blaster. This version of Biggs can be found on the Ultimate Galactic Hunt gold card too.

Name: Biggs Darklighter X-Wing Pilot
Origin: Power of the Force 2 Freeze Frame

Comments: The first and long awaited figure of Biggs Darklighter to be released utilized the body of the Wedge Antilles figure from the Rebel Pilots Cinema Scene and came with a blaster rifle, pistol and a “Freeze Frame” slide showing a still from A New Hope. A standard DL blaster and an oversized blaster rifle were supplied.

Comments. The first of the better articulated Wedge Antilles pilot's, this version of Wedge was found in the Legacy Collection Red Two X-Wing fighter vehicle. Very similar to the Vintage Collection Wedge but differs in the provided blaster being the DL type instead of the Rebel Fleet Trooper blaster and the head sculpt is different to the VC.
A basic kit-bash figure using the arms, legs, and waist of Nrin Vakil, the gloves and helmet from 2006's VTSC Evolutions Wes Janson, and a new torso. The helmet is the same as similar X-Wing pilots.

Name: Wedge Antilles
Origin: The Vintage Collection

Comments. For a while after it's release, this was one of the hardest to find figures in the Vintage Collection. The figure is basically the retooled body of the 2006 Saga Vintage Collection Luke X-Wing figure that was also used for the "Battle Over Endor" four pack figure of fellow pilot Grizz Frix. This figure features a different head sculpt to that found on the Legacy Collection's pack in figure of Wedge that was supplied with the Red Two X-Wing fighter. The blaster supplied with this figure is of the Rebel Fleet Trooper type rather than the DL type blaster found with the Red Two pack in figure.

Comments: The third figure of Wedge to be released is kit bashed using the body of Dutch Vander, and the head and helmet are from earlier POTF2 cinema scene version. Accessories included a small rebel blaster and figure stand.

Comments: This version of Wedge shares the same body sculpt as the Power of the Force 2 Biggs Darklighter, but this time, the figure has a removable helmet. Wedge does not come with any weapon accessory

Comments: A pack in figure of Wedge that was available in the Millennium Falcon figure carry case, this is the corrected pain applications figure, the helmet now has the dark stripes and the sleeves have not been painted. Seen here still sealed inside the yellow backed bubble found inside the carry case. A standard rebel blaster is yet again provided.

Comments: The is the original edition of a figure that was packed in with the Millennium Falcon figure carry case. The figure was placed in the cockpit of the falcon so as to be visible from the outside. As stated, this is the first and most rare figure of Wedge because he has incorrect paint applications on both the helmet and his sleeves. The helmet is in the colours of Luke's Skywalker, and the sleeves ribbed detail is painted white. The figure was corrected soon after the mistakes where noticed, but a few of the carry cases still exist with the "Wedge Helmet Mistake" figure sealed in side. As in the picture, the figure came sealed in a bubble with yellow card backing, a standard rebel blaster came with the figure. The body is the same sculpt as the Luke Snowspeeder / X-Wing.

Comments: A pack in figure of Wedge that was available in the Millennium Falcon figure carry case, this is the corrected version of the earlier inaccurate one. The helmet now features the correct dark stripes and the sleeves have not been painted. Seen in the image loose, he in fact came inside a sealed bubble mounted on yellow card. The carded bubble was situated in the cockpit of the case. A standard rebel blaster was also supplied.

Name: Luke Snowspeeder pilot

Comments: This is the fourth figure to depict Luke Skywalker in his Snowspeeder cold weather gear. The sculpting and level of detail is vastly improved. The accessories are well made also, for the first time a harpoon line is supplied to use with the new Legacy AT-AT. An accurate deactivated lightsaber hilt is clipped on Luke’s belt, but strangely, no ignited lightsaber or blaster is supplied with this figure.

Name: Luke Skywalker "Dagobah Landing"

Comments: This depicts Luke on his arrival on the planet Dagobah. The figure is the best yet of Luke in his Snowspeeder outfit, and is a basic kit bash of the earlier Legacy Collection's version except this time there is a new skirt, head and forearms. There is a variation on this figure in the area of the lightsaber, the initial release featured a light blue saber, later releases feature a darker saber

Comments: One of the more unusual Luke X-Wing figures, it depicts Luke during his escape from the smuggler Talon Karrde on the planet Myrkr. The helmet is unique in the fact that is the only X-Wing helmet to date that is a full face mask. Other accessories include lightsaber, a chest worn holster belt with blaster and a breather pipe from helmet to belt. This figure was part of a two pack also featuring Mara Jade.

Name: Luke Skywalker

Comments: The third figure depiction of Luke Skywalker in Hoth Snowspeeder gear. He originates from the 30th Anniversary Collection's Ultimate Battle of Hoth pack. This figure is a basic kit bash of the following part and figures, Luke Tatooine VOTC's head, the body and helmet of Zav Senesca and, for some reason, the ANH design saber of Obi-Wan Kenobi. The helmet has been repainted to Luke colour scheme and the costume has been weathered. Quite rare, or at least not commonly seen away from the battle pack, this was the closest accuracy until the Legacy Collection's excellent Speeder pilot release.

Comments: This figure is based on Luke’s appearance in The Empire Strikes Back due to his wearing a Snowspeeder outfit. This figure’s accessories are a blaster and the later “short lightsaber”. The original Luke X-Wing was packaged with a longer, out of scale, Lightsaber. As with this figures initial long saber release, the card and name depict Luke as seen in the battle of Yavin yet the figure depicts the battle of Hoth.

Comments: One of the first genuinely accurate Luke X-Wing figures to be produced and depicts Luke at the end of ANH. A far improved and detailed cast this Luke is only let down in the fact that it comes with Vader’s saber hilt clipped to his belt. Being very similar to the Vintage Saga Collection figure, it differs in the fact the leg straps are silver and no blaster is supplied with this figure.

Comments: At the time of release this was a whole new figure of Luke X-Wing. This figure boasted better articulation, a more accurate helmet and detailing and a hand blaster. The lightsaber is accurate but the hilt supplied belongs to Darth Vader. This figure was found on a reproduction vintage card that was encased in a thin plastic starcase type display case.

Comments: After the muscular look of the Power of the Force 2 line started to filter out there came this more authentic Luke X-wing figure, a slimmed down body and for the first time, a removable helmet with transparent visor. This figure is also much easier to place into the cockpit of an X-Wing fighter. No accessories were supplied but there was a force file fold out card containing character information.

Comments: The first version of Luke to be released came with a lightsaber that was much longer and out of scale, hence these early variations became known as “Longsabers”. Later figures sabres where shortened down for better scaling. A hand blaster was also provided. An interesting point about this figure is in the naming and card picture which depicts Luke during the battle of Yavin, yet the figure depicts Luke during the Battle of Hoth.

Name: Luke Skywalker Snowspeeder Pilot
Origin: The Power of the Jedi

Comments: Found in the Power of the Jedi "Luke Skywalker's Snowspeeder", this may look like the original Power of the Force 2 Luke X-wing figure at first glance, but it has some differences. The head is the same as previous POTF2 but the body is that of Luke's co-pilot, Dak, the companion figure supplied in the vehicle. The body is slightly taller and better defined, the chestbox pipe is an external piece, not moulded into the body as with the POTF2. Paint applications differ from the POTF2 with the red chest box light replacing the original blue, the white pressure strapping is replaced with grey, and the brown, silver buckled belt is a thinner grey with no buckle detail.

Comments: This figure was an exclusive that could only be purchased at the San Diego Comic Con convention in 2009, and is commonly referred to as "Smiling Luke" due to his facial expression. The figure came in it's own star case with Comic Con logo sticker and the supplied accessories where a lightsaber, flight helmet and a never before available yellow step ladder and platform, as used by the ground crew for X-Wing maintenance. Based on the well re-used Luke VTSC body, what makes this figure different is the new head sculpt, but the body still remains the same as previous, right down to the hole in Luke's belt meant to accommodate Luke's additional Saber hilt, an accessory not supplied with this version of the VTSC figure.
